Spajic: Election of judges important step for institutional strengthening and Montenegro’s EU path

Podgorica, (MINA) – The election of two Constitutional Court judges is an important step for strengthening the institutions and the European path of Montenegro, Prime Minister Milojko Spajic said.

Montenegrin Parliament elected on Thursday Jelena Ruzicic and Predrag Krstonijevic as judges of the Constitutional Court, both nominated by the President of the country, Jakov Milatovic.

Spajic wrote on the X social network that the Constitutional Court of Montenegro was now operating at full capacity.

He congratulated the Parliament of Montenegro on the election of two judges with, what he described as an incredible 69 and 64 votes of support.

“This is an important step towards strengthening institutions, the rule of law and the successful conclusion of the negotiation process with the European Union”, Spajic pointed out.
