Ivanovic: Montenegro remains consistent in its support for Ukraine

 

Podgorica, (MINA) – Montenegro remains consistent in its support for Ukraine, said Deputy Prime Minister for Foreign and European Affairs Filip Ivanovic, stressing that the defense of sovereignty, territorial integrity and international law is a shared interest of European countries.

 

The Government said that Ivanovic participated on Wednesday in the Ukraine-Southeast Europe Summit in Kyiv.

 

According to the press release, Ivanovic discussed strengthening European security, EU enlargement, continued support for Ukraine and improving regional cooperation with the leaders and senior officials from the countries of the region.

 

Ivanovic said that Montenegro remains consistent in its support for Ukraine, stressing that the defense of sovereignty, territorial integrity and international law is a common interest of European countries.

 

He reaffirmed that Montenegro will continue to advocate for Ukraine, welcomed all international efforts aimed at ending the war.

 

A joint declaration was adopted at the Summit, which reaffirms unified support for Ukraine, commitment to international law and the principles of the United Nations Charter, and supports Ukraine’s European integration path.
