Drazen Medojevic elected president of Judicial Council

 

Podgorica, (MINA) – Lawyer and jurist Drazen Medojevic has been elected president of the Judicial Council.

 

Medojevic was elected to the position at the constitutive session of the newly appointed Judicial Council.

 

According to the Vijesti daily, the first two rounds of voting ended in a deadlock, with Medojevic and Miodrag Ilickovic receiving four votes each.

 

Ilickovic withdrew his candidacy, allowing Medojevic to be elected president of the Judicial Council.

 

Following his election, Medojevic said that his “colleague Ilickovic overtook him”, and announced that Ilickovic would serve as his deputy.
