Police Administration: Russian citizens’ stay revoked, sophisticated digital equipment seized

Podgorica, (MINA) – Three Russian citizens have had their stay in Montenegro revoked, while the Police Administration and the National Security Agency (ANB) are checking the intended purpose of a large amount of sophisticated digital equipment that was found with them.

The Police Administration stated that their officers controlled Russian nationals A.S. (38), I.K. (26) and A.I. (38), with whom a large amount of sophisticated digital equipment and devices was found, after which they were issued a decision revoking their stay in Montenegro.

The press release adds that a large amount of expensive sophisticated digital and computer equipment was found, for which Russian citizens could not provide documentation nor give a clear explanation of its origin and purpose.

“Taking into account the established circumstances, which raised doubts about the purpose and legality of the stay and the use of the equipment, the inspectors responsible for foreigners, in accordance with the law, issued decisions revoking their temporary stay. After receiving the decisions, the individuals left the territory of Montenegro”, the press release says.
