Podgorica, (MINA) – Leader of the Preokret Movement and Capital City Assembly chair Srdjan Peric said that an army of bots is being paid through service contracts within the Capital City administration system, while on the other hand, the Europe Now Movement councilor Stevan Kandic called on him to publish evidence, including alleged names and amounts paid.
As a guest on TV Adria on Friday, Peric said that citizens are paying between EUR 600 and 1,000 for each bot.
Commenting on the information that the Capital City is paying EUR 600,000 annually for service contracts, Peric said that an army of bots is being paid for through these contracts, and that everything would be investigated and made public.
“I didn’t know that we had so many consultants for developing media strategies. I know there are about ten people in Montenegro who do that work very well, but they are not those people. An army of bots is often paid through service contracts. Not all of these contracts, there are many of them which are justified and necessary for the functioning of the system”, said Peric.
Speaking about the attempt to have the forced administration introduced by the ruling majority, he said that “the most brutal and down-to-earth campaign” has been led by those with the greatest interest in introducing it, and they were thwarted.
Peric further claimed that one of those involved in paying the bots is a businessman close to the current government.
Kandic called on Peric to present the evidence to support his claims.
He said that it is well known that spending on service contracts in the Capital City’s 2026 budget is in line with the average level recorded in the past eight years.
