MPs called on to sign decision establishing Inquiry Committee for Sveti Stefan

Podgorica, (MINA-BUSINESS) – The United Reform Action (URA) has called on all parliamentary groups in the Parliament to support the establishment of an Inquiry Committee for Sveti Stefan and Milocer in order to determine all relevant facts regarding decisions, contracts, settlements, and the actions of state authorities in this case.

URA Member of Parliament Zoran Mikic announced that URA MPs will support the establishment of inquiry committees concerning the major railway accident at Bioce and the operation Orlov let.

“We believe that every important issue burdening the public must receive an institutional resolution. Likewise, in the case of Sveti Stefan, we demand full transparency, accountability, and the establishment of facts without political calculations,” Mikic stated in a press release.

URA believes that Sveti Stefan is one of the most recognizable symbols of Montenegro, representing its tourism, cultural heritage, and natural wealth.

“For that very reason, no decision concerning this area should be made away from the eyes of citizens, nor without full institutional and public oversight,” URA added.
