New partnerships for stronger economic cooperation

New partnerships for stronger economic cooperation

Podgorica, (MINA-BUSINESS) – According to the President of the Chamber of Commerce (PKCG) Nina Drakic, trade between Montenegro and Austria has recorded continuous growth, but there is still room for further improvement, particularly through increased exports, the development of production capacities, and the implementation of joint projects.

In cooperation with the Commercial Section of the Austrian Embassy and the Austrian Federal Economic Chamber, the PKCG organized a business forum in Podgorica that brought together representatives of institutions, the diplomatic corps, and the business communities of both countries with the aim of improving economic relations, strengthening business ties, and creating new investment opportunities.

Drakic said the forum was further confirmation of the traditionally strong and friendly relations between Montenegro and Austria, a country that ranks among Montenegro’s most important economic partners and investors.

“Our mission is to be a reliable voice of the business community, a bridge between companies and institutions, and a platform for connecting domestic and international partners, which is precisely what today’s business forum represents,” Drakic said.

Minister of Public Works Majda Adzovic said that relations between Montenegro and Austria are based on strong mutual trust, which is the most valuable asset of any serious business partnership.

Trade Attaché at Austrian Embassy Anna Salehi expressed satisfaction with the strong interest shown by Montenegrin companies in cooperating with Austrian partners, as well as the presence of Austrian businesses in Montenegro.

She said that meetings of this kind provide the best foundation for launching joint projects and establishing long-term business partnerships.

The forum also included bilateral meetings between representatives of Montenegrin and Austrian companies, during which opportunities for cooperation were discussed in infrastructure, construction, energy, transport, logistics, tourism, healthcare and other sectors of mutual interest.
