Ministry of Agriculture opens office in Herceg Novi

Herceg Novi, (MINA-BUSINESS) – Representatives of the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management have opened an office in Herceg Novi to enable agricultural producers in the municipality to communicate more quickly and efficiently with the Ministry and its services.

The office was officially opened by Minister of Agriculture Vladimir Jokovic, together with State Secretary Krsto Radjenovic, Acting Director of the Paying Agency Marko Radonjic, and Director General of the Directorate for Agriculture Miroslav Cimbaljevic.

“Farmers will now have easier access to information, administrative procedures, and support programmes without the need to travel to other cities. In one place, they will be able to obtain expert advice, information on public calls and subsidies, as well as assistance in preparing and submitting the necessary documentation,” the Ministry said in a press release.

Jokovic said the Ministry’s goal is to make its services more accessible to agricultural producers and to further improve cooperation with local administrations through direct field engagement.

Jokovic and his associates met with farmers and local residents to discuss the challenges they face, as well as opportunities for improving and expanding agricultural production.

“During an open and constructive discussion, participants highlighted the development potential of the area, opportunities to benefit from the Ministry’s support measures, as well as the importance of modernizing production and strengthening the competitiveness of domestic farms,” the press release reads.

The opening of the office in Herceg Novi marks an important step toward providing more efficient services to farmers and further enhancing cooperation between the Ministry and beneficiaries of agricultural policy measures, with the aim of creating more favourable conditions for the development of agriculture and rural areas.
