Podgorica, (MINA) – Parliament Speaker Andrija Mandic presented on Monday the Thirteenth of July awards to this year’s recipients: University of Montenegro professor Sonja Tomovic Sundic, scientists Snezana Dragicevic and Snezana Vuksanovic and film director Nikola Vukcevic.
Tomovic Sundic was awarded the Thirteenth of July Award for her book “Literary Anthropology of Danilo Kis”, Dragicevic and Vuksanovic for their scientific achievements and contribution in the field of botany, while Vukcevic was awarded for the international promotion of Montenegro through his work.
Presenting the awards, Mandic congratulated this year’s winners and thanked the members of the jury, noting that they had completed their work in a positive atmosphere and within a very short time.
According to the Parliament’s press release, he pointed out that the expert jury, as in previous years, made the decision completely independently.
“We have fantastic recipients of the Thirteenth of July Award, as decided by our jury, which this year, as well as in all the previous years, made its decision independently, and without any influence by politics”, said Mandic.
