Podgorica, (MINA) – The government will open a special account to assist citizens who have suffered material damage from the recent wildfires.

The Government stated that at the telephone session, and with the consent of a majority of its members, the information on the opening of an aid account was adopted to address the damage caused during by fires across Montenegro.

It is stated that the Government will open an account in response to significant interest from individuals and companies offering help and support for the reconstruction and rehabilitation of destroyed property.

“With the goal of making the entire process fully transparent, the General Secretariat of the Government will form a special commission that will deal with these issues, and inform the Government about the account balance every fifteen days”, the statement said.
