Establishment of Mozura Inquiry Committee proposed

Podgorica, (MINA-BUSINESS) – Representatives of the United Reform Action (URA) will submit a proposal to Parliament to establish a Parliamentary Inquiry Committee to investigate the Mozura controversy, inviting all parliamentary groups to join the initiative.

URA President Dritan Abazovic said that he will submit the proposal to launch a parliamentary investigation and establish the Inquiry Committee to gather information and facts about the actions of public authorities and other entities in the allocation of the concession for the Mozura wind farm.

“Given our very negative experience with the statute of limitations in certain, in our view, corrupt cases from the past, we do not want this case to suffer the same fate. We believe that the Parliament should take the initiative to hear from many citizens about what happened in this process, as well as many people from the previous system,” Abazovic said at a press conference in Parliament.

He added that certain ministers who served during that period and who “turned a blind eye to some facts” should be summoned.

Abazovic said that URA has been following this case for a long time, particularly in 2020, and even afterward, including when they were part of the Government.

According to him, Montenegrin citizens will pay over €100 million in subsidies through the Mozura wind farm concession before it expires.
