European integration is a process of transforming the economy and society

Podgorica, (MINA-BUSINESS) – For Montenegro, European integration is a process of transforming both the economy and society as a whole, leading to the rule of law, a predictable and business-friendly environment, and fair competition, according to Pavle D. Radovanovic, Vice President of the Chamber of Commerce (PKCG).

“This process leads us toward the rule of law, stable institutions, and a more efficient public administration,” Radovanovic said during a high-level debate on EU enlargement organized today by the European Economic and Social Committee (EESC) in Brussels.

He added that there can be no genuine socio-economic convergence with the European Union without these preconditions.

Radovanovic sees renewed momentum behind EU enlargement as encouraging.

“The European Union’s openness to enlargement, combined with the consensus among Montenegro’s political parties, reflected in the recently signed agreement between the government and the opposition, gives real hope that Montenegro could become an EU member in 2028. Both citizens and the business community are eagerly awaiting this,” Radovanovic said.
