CBCG: Slightly less companies with frozen assets

Podgorica, (MINA-BUSINESS) – According to the statistics released by the Central Bank of Montenegro (CBCG), there were 21,170 companies and entrepreneurs with frozen accounts at the end of June, 0.02 percent less than in May. 

The total debt on the basis of which the accounts had been frozen amounted to €1.72 billion in June, which is 1.52 percent more than the previous month.

Debt concentration was comparatively high, with ten largest debtors sharing as much as 39.61 percent of the total debt.  Their frozen assets amounted to €680.83 million in total.

Of their total combined debt, 57.78 percent, or €993.09 million has been incurred by 50 largest debtors or only 0.24 percent of all registered debtors. 

Of the total number of blocked companies, 228 were registered active companies with blocks lasting up to 365 days, while 822 were registered firms with inactive or suspended status. A total of 859 active companies and 15,950 registered firms with inactive status had their assets frozen for more than 365 days.
