Podgorica, (MINA-BUSINESS) – Montenegrin President Jakov Milatovic will pay an official visit to Egypt from today until Tuesday, marking an important step forward in relations between the two countries and providing an opportunity to give their long-standing friendship stronger political, economic and institutional substance.

Milatovic will meet with Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly and representatives of the Egyptian business community. 

The talks will focus on enhancing political dialogue, strengthening trade, attracting investment, improving transport connectivity, and deepening cooperation between institutions and the business sectors of the two countries.

“Several agreements and memorandums on further cooperation will be signed during the visit,” the Office of the President’s Public Relations Office said in a press release.

Particular importance will be attached to establishing cooperation between the Port Authority of Montenegro and the Alexandria Port Authority, which is expected to open the way for stronger cooperation.

Montenegro and Egypt are marking the 20th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations this year. The anniversary provides an opportunity to further strengthen their traditional friendship through concrete projects, closer economic cooperation and new development partnerships.
