Podgorica, (MINA-BUSINESS) – Last year, the national carrier Montenegro Airlines had the best income statement in the last ten years, and it set a record in the number of passengers carried.
The company’s shareholders adopted the annual financial statement and the management’s annual report for the last year.
“According to the report, the company’s revenues exceeded expenditures by €245,000, meaning that the result achieved last year is positive, despite the fact that the company finished 2018 with a €1.97 million loss because of considerable expenditures and debts from the previous period,” says a press release issued by the company.
It was concluded at the shareholders’ meeting that this is the best income statement in the last ten years, which comes in the year in which the company has set a historical record by carrying 645,000 passengers.
“It is expected that, with the support of the majority owner, the company will finish the financial consolidation process and adopt the development strategy this year,” the press release says, adding that this document will focus on the renewal of the fleet and organizational restructuring of the company.
