Podgorica, (MINA-BUSINESS) – According to preliminary data published by Monstat, 70 per cent of companies introduced at least one type of innovative activity in Montenegro between 2022 and 2024.

Monstat released the results of its survey on innovative activities carried out by enterprises during the 2022–2024 period, covering product innovations (goods or services), business process innovations, as well as ongoing, discontinued and completed innovation activities.

“During the period from 2022 to 2024, 70 percent of enterprises introduced at least one of the listed innovative activities, while 30 per cent reported having no innovation activities,” the Statistical Office said in a press release.

By company size, the share of enterprises with innovation activities reached 70.1 percent among small enterprises, 69.8 percent among medium-sized enterprises and 60.1 percent among large enterprises.

“The share of enterprises with innovation activities was 68 percent in the manufacturing sector and 70.6 per cent in the services sector,” the press release reads.
