Podgorica, (MINA-BUSINESS) – According to the party’s MP Milos Konatar, the United Reform Action (URA) supports the demands of trade unions and believes that an agreement should be reached and the General Collective Agreement signed as soon as possible.
“It is impossible to speak of economic success while citizens are taking to the streets to demand higher wages. The trade unions’ protest shows that a large number of employees are feeling the effects of rising prices and living costs, and that there are problems that cannot be ignored,” Konatar said.
He stated that the unions’ demands are legitimate and that the Government must not avoid dialogue with citizens who are finding it increasingly difficult to keep up with the rising cost of living.
“Better working conditions, higher wages, and the protection of employees’ rights are not a matter of goodwill on the part of any prime minister or minister, but an obligation of every responsible government. That is why we expect an agreement to be reached and the General Collective Agreement signed as soon as possible,” Konatar said.
According to him, support for trade unions should not become a cause for politicization, but rather an opportunity to focus attention on the problems faced by workers and their families.
“Citizens are demanding a decent life from their work. This is an issue that deserves the attention and response of institutions,” Konatar concluded.
