Podgorica, (MINA) – The agreement between the United States of America (USA) and Iran is an important breakthrough that should pave the way for de-escalation and broader negotiations on peace in the Middle East, the Montenegrin Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MVP) assessed.

The Ministry wrote on the X social network that Montenegro welcomes the agreement between the US and Iran to end the war and reopen the Strait of Hormuz.

“This important breakthrough should pave the way for de-escalation, renewed diplomatic efforts and broader negotiations on peace and security in the Middle East”, said the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

According to them, Montenegro appreciates the constructive role of all countries that contributed to reaching this deal.

“We underline the importance of its full implementation, as well as sustained international engagement to build trust between all parties”, the MFA stated.
