Krapovic: Charter flight passengers detected by Montenegrin services

Podgorica, (MINA) – Intelligence data and operational activities in response to security challenges before and during the EU-Western Balkans Summit in Tivat were exclusively the result of the efforts of the Montenegrin security services, said Defense Minister Dragan Krapovic.

Speaking at a press conference during his visit to Tivat, he expressed his satisfaction with the Montenegrin security system’s handling of the organization of the largest international event, hosted in this town.

Speaking about the allegations that security activities were predominantly conducted with the help of services from partner countries, Krapovic emphasized that key information and operational work were the result of the efforts made by Montenegrin services.

According to him, no country participated in providing intelligence data when it comes to the events taking place prior to the Summit and during the event.

Krapovic did not want to comment on the claims Croatian Prime Minister Andrej Plenkovc reiterated during the Summit, that the training ship Jadran must be returned to Croatia.

He pointed out that it is not good to have public statements of this type from either side while the two commissions are in the process of conducting the talks.

Krapovic added that the members of the Montenegrin Commission for Regulating Relations with Croatia, which involves resolving the dispute over the training ship Jadran have been selected and that the first session of this body will be held by the end of the month.
