Podgorica, (MINA) – Journalist and host of the “Nacisto” TV program on TV Vijesti, Petar Komnenic, has been banned from entering Serbia.
According to Vijesti, this is part of Belgrade’s announced response to the Montenegrin authorities’ decision to declare Informer editor-in-chief and owner Dragan J. Vucicevic a persona non grata.
Komnenic learned of the Serbian authorities’s decision on Tuesday, while leaving Serbia.
“I was unofficially informed of the decision that I would be banned from entering Serbia in the future when I was leaving the country. I had entered Serbia without problems a few days earlier, which leads me to conclude that the authorities, who were at that time occupied with organizing the gathering in Belgrade, had better things to do than deal with countermeasures”, Komnenic told Vijest.
He said that when he arrived at the border crossing with Montenegro and handed over the documents, he noticed “commotion” among the border police officers.
Komnenic added that there was no drama, that he was detained at the border for about an hour, that the search was conducted in an appropriate manner and that he had no objection to the actions of the border police officers.
