Podgorica, (MINA-BUSINESS) – President of the Chamber of Commerce (PKCG) Nina Drakic said that Montenegro has one of the most competitive corporate tax systems in Europe and guarantees foreign investors equal treatment and unrestricted property rights.

“Montenegro offers numerous competitive advantages to international investors. The visit of the President of Montenegro to Egypt, together with prominent representatives of the business community and public institutions, provides an excellent opportunity to jointly promote our country’s potential," Drakic said while in Egypt as a member of the delegation accompanying Montenegrin President Jakov Milatovic on his official visit.

As part of the visit, a roundtable on economic and business cooperation between the two countries was held, co-hosted by Egypt’s Minister of Investment and Foreign Trade, Mohamed Farid Salehi, and President Milatovic.

“As a NATO member and the most advanced candidate country in the European Union accession process, Montenegro offers political stability, legal certainty, and a predictable business environment. The euro is our official currency,” Drakic said.

She added that Egypt is a country with significant potential and could take advantage of investment opportunities in Montenegro's economy, highlighting in particular the need for a new major Egyptian investment similar to the successful Lustica Bay project.
