CAAP remains in ACG concession process

Podgorica, (MINA-BUSINESS) – Corporacion America Airports (CAAP) remains fully committed to investing in Montenegro through the concession process for Airports of Montenegro (ACG) and is ready to continue participating in accordance with the applicable legal framework and decisions of the competent authorities, its representatives said.

They confirmed that CAAP is aware of the Montenegrin Government’s announcement regarding the withdrawal of Incheon International Airport Corporation, but said the company remains committed to the tender process.

“From the very beginning, CAAP has participated in the tender process while fully complying with the requirements set out in the call for bids, as well as the applicable legal and regulatory framework, with the aim of establishing a long-term partnership with the Government and investing in ACG in order to support long-term development, competitiveness, and the achievement of high, internationally recognized standards," the company said in a press release.

CAAP added that this commitment is reflected not only in its continued interest in the project but also in the fact that it has maintained all required bid security instruments, including a recently renewed bank guarantee valid until August next year.

This confirms our readiness to continue with the implementation of the project,” CAAP said.

The company said it remains fully available for cooperation with the Government and all relevant authorities with the aim of signing the concession agreement.
