Andjusic: Failure to adopt ANB report reflects state of Montenegro’s system

Podgorica, (MINA) – The failure of the Security and Defense Committee to adopt the report on the work of the National Security Agency (ANB) reflects the state of Montenegrin system and the parliamentary majority, said Mihailo Andjusic, a Democratic Party of Socialists (DPS) MP.

Speaking at the press conference in the Parliament, after the session of the Security Committee was not held on Wednesday due to the lack of quorum, Andjusic said that it was not an isolated case.

“The ANB director is appointed by the Government. That probably says a lot, first of all, about the state of the security sector, and on the other hand, about the state of the parliamentary majority”, added Andjusic.

He questioned the fact that no one from the government explained the situation to the public.

“Is anyone in the parliamentary majority dissatisfied with the work of the ANB director? Do they have objections to the report? Is there a problem that the committee is currently chaired by a opposition representative, I really don't know, but imagine a situation in which none of the people in the state, the government and the parliamentary majority finds it appropriate to address the citizens and explain what the problem is”, said Andjusic.
