Podgorica, (MINA) – The European perspective of the region is a precondition for prosperity, it was heard at the meeting of heads of diplomacy of the South East Europe Cooperation Process (SEECP) countries, which took place on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly in New York.
Montenegrin Foreign Minister Srdjan Darmanovic took part in this informal meeting, organized by Kosovo Foreign Minister Behgjet Pacolli.
According to the press release from the Foreign Ministry, the ministers emphasized the importance of EU enlargement, promotion of political stability and security, economic prosperity and connectedness in the South East Europe.
“The region can move forward if the social and economic context is based on modern technologies, digitalization, structural reforms, youth perspective and connectedness, creating thus safer and progressive Europe”, said Darmanovic.
The Head of Montenegrin diplomacy also met at the sidelines of the UN General Assembly with his Hungarian counterpart Peter Szijjarto.
“They agreed that there are great relations between the two countries which are characterized by intensive political dialogue and cooperation”, the press release stated.
