Up to 72 hours detention for Dobrasinovic

Up to 72 hours detention for Dobrasinovic

Podgorica, (MINA) – The Basic State Prosecutor’s Office (ODT) in Berane has ordered up to 72 hours detention for Vujadin Dobrasinovic, over the illegal erection of a monument to Pavle Djurisic in the village of Gornje Zaostro near Berane.

Dobrasinovic is suspected, as a co-perpetrator, of committing the criminal offense of violation regulations and illegal erection of a monument, and detained after a hearing at the Berane State Prosecutor’s Office.

The New Serbian Democracy (NSD) previously condemned, as the party described it, the illegal arrest of Dobrasinovic.

According to the NSD, the politics of double standards are once again evident, especially when it comes to topics that should be resolved through dialogue, without exclusivity and narratives inherited from the time of single-mindedness.

The party stated in a press release that the competent authorities failed to react to months-long traffic blockades that hinder the functioning of the entire state and demage its economy, but act swiftly when a monument erected on private property needs to be removed.
