Podgorica, (MINA) – Niksic Mayor Marko Kovacevic was denied entry to Kosovo on Friday, where he was supposed to attend the Vidovdan commemoration at Gazimestan.
The New Serbian Democracy (NSD), of which Kovacevic is vice-president, announced that the decision by the Pristina authorities, led by outgoing politician Albin Kurti, who, as they said, is regarded by all international actors as the main source of instability in the Western Balkans, once again confirmed their clear anti-Serb policy.
They claim that the entry ban violated Kovacevic’s religious rights, as he had been invited, in his capacity as a Niksic Mayor, to attend the Vidovdan commemoration at Gazimestan.
“The NSD and its officials will continue to help the Serbian people in Kosovo and Metohija in every possible way, and we don’t need any resolutions for that, but our actions will speak for us. This is clearly recognized by Kurti’s autocratic government, whose reign of terror is coming to an end”, the press release said.
