UAE interested in further boosting investments in Montenegro

Podgorica, (MINA-BUSINESS) – The United Arab Emirates is interested in further strengthening its investment presence in Montenegro, particularly in the fields of tourism, energy, infrastructure, and the digital economy, said the country’s ambassador to Podgorica, Khamis Rashed Ahmed Al Shemeili.
At a meeting with Deputy Prime Minister for Foreign and European Affairs Filip Ivanovic, he said that Montenegro is seen as a stable and promising partner in the Western Balkans region.
It was concluded that relations between Montenegro and the United Arab Emirates are friendly and stable, with a clear willingness to further strengthen them through enhanced political dialogue and closer economic and investment cooperation.
Ivanović highlighted the importance of the United Arab Emirates as a reliable partner of Montenegro in the field of development and investment, emphasizing the Government’s commitment to reforms aimed at improving the business environment, strengthening the rule of law, and ensuring stable and predictable conditions for foreign investors.
In that context, it was particularly underlined that the process of European integration remains Montenegro’s key strategic priority, contributing to stronger institutional stability, economic development, and alignment with European standards.
The meeting also addressed possibilities for improving transport connectivity, including strengthening direct air links, as well as potential cooperation in information technology, digital infrastructure, and the development of data centres.
