Montenegro committed to introducing Roam Like at Home regime

Podgorica, (MINA-BUSINESS) – According to the Ministry of Economic Development, Montenegro strongly welcomes the adoption by the Council of the European Union (EU) of negotiating directives for the inclusion of the Western Balkan countries in the Roam Like at Home (RLAH) regime.
“Montenegro remains committed to the process to ensure that negotiations advance efficiently and that citizens can benefit from the initiative as soon as possible, marking another concrete step towards integration into the European single digital market,” the Ministry said in a press release.
Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economic Development Nik Gjeloshaj participated today in a ministerial meeting on the establishment of the RLAH regime between the EU and the Western Balkan countries, organized by the Directorate-General for Enlargement and the Eastern Neighbourhood (DG ENEST) and the Directorate-General for Communications Networks, Content and Technology (DG CNECT).
“At the meeting the key elements of the negotiating guidelines adopted by the Council of the EU were presented, as well as the next steps in the negotiations on integrating the Western Balkan countries into the EU’s roaming regime with member states and concluding individual sectoral agreements with each country,” the press release reads.
