Podgorica, (MINA-BUSINESS) – Timely identification and resolution of administrative and regulatory barriers can contribute to a more predictable business environment and more efficient investment implementation, representatives of the American Chamber of Commerce in Montenegro (AmCham) said during a meeting with the Minister of Spatial Planning, Urbanism and State Property, Slaven Radunovic. 

According to Represent, the meeting focused on the current state of the construction and real estate sector.

Representatives of AmCham’s Real Estate Committee shared member companies’ experiences and highlighted key issues affecting the sector’s development, stressing the importance of addressing administrative and regulatory obstacles to improve investment efficiency.

Radunovic underscored the value of cooperation with AmCham, noting that feedback from its member companies provides practical insight into how regulations are applied and can help improve the regulatory framework.

The minister also briefed participants on the Ministry’s activities related to the issues raised during the meeting.

Both sides acknowledged that EU accession obligations, a heavy administrative workload, and staffing shortages remain significant challenges. They agreed these issues require close cooperation between institutions and trusted partners to improve the business environment and support Montenegro’s development.

The Ministry and AmCham reaffirmed their commitment to ongoing cooperation under the Rule of Dialogue programme, which is based on a Memorandum of Cooperation signed in 2022.
