Podgorica, (MINA) - The Higher State Prosecutor’s Office in Podgorica has submitted a request to the Misdemeanors Court to initiate misdemeanor proceedings against TV Adria and its editor-in-chief for, as stated, a violation of the Law on Prohibition of Discrimination.

The prosecutor’s office clarified that the proceedings were initiated over the broadcast of the documentary “Srebrenica – Anatomy of Deception”.

The documentary is a project of the Center for Social Stability in Novi Sad, and was broadcast in Montenegro by TV Adria.

Following the broadcast, the Agency for Audiovisual Media Services of Montenegro (AMU) found that the documentary contained elements of hate speech and incited discrimination, and imposed a fine on TV Adria.
