Podgorica, (MINA) – Minister of the Interior Danilo Saranovic and Israel’s Ambassador to Montenegro Avivit Bar-Ilan signed an Agreement on the donation of a 12,000-liter water tank aimed at strengthening Montenegro’s capacities to fight wildfires.

According to the press release from the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MUP), the Israel’s Agency for International Development Cooperation (MASHAV) provided significant support in the implementation of that project.

Saranovic pointed out that the donation is much more than material assistance, describing it as a confirmation of friendship, solidarity and readiness for a joint response to the challenges faced by the two countries.

Bar Ilan said that the donation represents concrete support for Montenegro, strengthening its capacity to respond to wildfires.

“Today’s signing of the Donation Agreement marks another step in strengthening bilateral relations between the two countries, as well as the continuation of successful cooperation aimed at strengthening the security, efficiency and resilience of institutions”, the press release states.
