Tivat, (MINA-BUSINESS) – The Municipality of Tivat will not agree to any reduction in the amount of the airport concession fee on its territory compared to what it is entitled to under existing legal provisions, said Mayor Zeljko Komnenovic.

He stated that the Government is aware of the local administration’s position on that matter.

“We have received assurances from the Government that the proposed amendments will not affect the essence of the idea of directing the fixed portion of the concession fee toward the infrastructural needs of the municipality in whose territory the concession asset is located,” Komnenovic said.

He added that the local administration will insist on and fight for these funds to be legally secured and directed toward improving utilities and other lacking infrastructure in the town.

“We have no objection to concession funds being invested in a new school, playgrounds, sports fields, roads, and all other facilities that Tivat needs,” Komnenovic said.
