Morocco important partner for Montenegro

Podgorica, (MINA-BUSINESS) – Vice President of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Mediterranean (PAM) Dejan Djurovic said that Montenegro sees Morocco as an important partner with which it seeks to further strengthen political, economic and parliamentary cooperation for the mutual benefit of both countries.

Speaking at the Fourth Euro-Mediterranean Economic Forum of PAM, held in Marrakesh on 19 and 20 June and organized by PAM and the House of Councillors of the Kingdom of Morocco under the High Patronage of King Mohammed VI, Djurovic presented the results of PAM’s 20th Plenary Session, hosted by the Parliament of Montenegro in Budva from 6 to 8 May.

Djurovic and Boris Mugosa, a member of the Montenegrin parliamentary delegation, attended the forum at the invitation of PAM President Giulio Centemero and President of Morocco’s House of Councillors, Mohamed Ould Errachid.

The forum was held for the first time in partnership with the World Bank Group–IMF Parliamentary Network, bringing together more than 400 participants, including representatives of governments, national parliaments, international parliamentary organizations, international financial institutions, United Nations agencies, academia and the private sector.

This once again confirmed its position as one of the most important international platforms for parliamentary dialogue on economic development, trade integration, energy security and sustainable development across the Euro-Mediterranean and Gulf regions.
