More than €35 million invested in first four months

Podgorica, (MINA-BUSINESS) – According to the Turkish Chamber of Commerce in Montenegro, total investment inflows from Turkey to Montenegro amounted to €35.28 million in the first four months of the year.

The Chamber stated in a press release that the largest share of the investments consisted of equity investments and intercompany loans, totalling €20.71 million.

“This investment structure confirms that the capital is being directed towards business development, strengthening companies and ensuring the long-term presence of Turkish investors in the Montenegrin market,” the press release said.

Based on an analysis of Central Bank of Montenegro data on foreign direct investment for the period from 1 January to 30 April, the Turkish Chamber of Commerce in Montenegro concluded that Turkey continues to confirm its role as one of Montenegro’s key investors and long-term economic partners.

“At the same time, significant investment was recorded in the real estate sector, amounting to €13.20 million, while direct investments in domestic companies and banks totalled €1.36 million,” the Chamber said.

The statistics also show that capital outflows from Montenegro to Turkey were almost negligible, further confirming that investment flows are overwhelmingly directed towards Montenegro.
