Podgorica, (MINA) - The monument to Chetnik commander Pavle Djurisic, which was unveiled on Friday in the Berane village of Gornje Zaostro, has been relocated to a nearby church, the Radio-Television of Montenegro reported.

According to the outlet, the locals moved the monument around 2 p.m.

The monument was previously unveiled by Metodije, Metropolitan of Budimlje and Niksic of the Serbian Orthodox Church.

He said earlier during the liturgy that he would “place the monument in the church”.

“So let them come to demolish the church. Eternal memory to Duke Pavle and all soldiers, warriors, officers and fighters of the Yugoslav army in the homeland”, said Metodije.
