Knezevic: Government will award airport concessions to South Koreans
- Podgorica, (MINA-BUSINESS) – Head of the Ministry of Transport Filip Radulovic will submit a proposal for the South Korean company Incheon International Airport Corporation (IIAC) to be awarded a concession for Montenegrin airports, said President of the Democratic People’s Party (DNP) Milan Knezevic, describing the initiative as highly corrupt.
Podgorica, (MINA-BUSINESS) – Head of the Ministry of Transport Filip Radulovic will submit a proposal for the South Korean company Incheon International Airport Corporation (IIAC) to be awarded a concession for Montenegrin airports, said President of the Democratic People’s Party (DNP) Milan Knezevic, describing the initiative as highly corrupt.
“With the resignation of Stefan Madzgalj, a member of the Europe Now Movement, from the Board of Directors of Podgorica Airport, one of the last barriers has been removed that might have prevented Radulovic from submitting a proposal, either at today’s or the next Cabinet meeting, to award the concession for Montenegrin airports to the South Koreans,” Knezevic said in a video message.
He added that Chair of the Board Jelena Maras, who had opposed concessions for Montenegrin airports and had clearly stated in her New Year’s interview that a decision on a concession could be made exclusively by Parliament, was also out of the picture.
“Hence this haste, and this intention to coordinate Radulovic’s actions in order to carry out yet another sell-off of state property and squander what generations of Montenegrin citizens have created, especially given the excellent results of the airports and the fact that they recently celebrated their three-millionth passenger,” Knezevic said.
He called on the Montenegrin Prosecutor’s Office to investigate everyone in and outside the Government, starting with himself, to determine whether the concession is being used to buy the silence of the South Korean state and judicial authorities regarding cryptocurrency entrepreneur Do Kwon and his possible business ties with Prime Minister Milojko Spajic.
