Podgorica, (MINA-BUSINESS) – According to Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economic Development Nik Gjeloshaj, President Jakov Milatovic suffered yet another defeat with the Parliament’s renewed vote in favour of amendments to the Property Tax Law.
He noted in a press release that Montenegro has demonstrated it is not a country governed by personal interests.
Gjeloshaj said what he has always advocated for was confirmed today – that faith in truth, democracy, European values, and justice prevailed over propaganda and the personal interests of certain individuals.
The Parliament once again passed amendments to the Property Tax Law, proposed by Albanian Forum MPs Nikola Camaj and Artan Cobi, and also signed by Ilir Capuni.
“The President and his advisor, who thought they could undermine the country’s legal and economic order, manipulate institutions, and use the state for their private interests, have today suffered yet another defeat in a series,” Gjeloshaj said.
