Podgorica, (MINA-BUSINESS) – Chinese Ambassador to Montenegro Chen Xiufeng said that China is ready to work with Montenegro to comprehensively deepen practical cooperation in transport infrastructure, green energy, smart cities, youth exchanges and culture.

“Starting from a new historical point, China will continue to steadfastly pursue a path of modernization suited to its national conditions and make an even greater contribution to the world through its own stable development,” Chen wrote in an opinion piece titled “Twenty Years of Diplomatic Relations between China and Montenegro: Sharing the 'China Opportunities 2.0' through Mutually Beneficial Cooperation”.

He said China is ready to use the 20th anniversary of diplomatic relations as a new opportunity to seize the historical chances offered by “China Opportunities 2.0”, fully implement the important consensus reached by the leaders of the two countries, and deepen practical cooperation in transport infrastructure, green energy, smart cities, youth exchanges and culture. 

“China is committed not only to its own development but also hopes, through the Global Development Initiative, the Global Security Initiative, the Global Civilization Initiative and the Global Governance Initiative, to offer new pathways toward lasting peace and prosperity for all countries, including those in the Balkans,” Chen said.

He called for joint efforts to consistently implement multilateralism and the four global initiatives, build a community with a shared future for mankind, and create a world of lasting peace, universal security, shared prosperity, openness, inclusiveness, cleanliness and beauty.
