Podgorica, (MINA-BUSINESS) – At the end of December, there were 1.48 million mobile phone users in Montenegro, 1.65 percent fewer than in November.

According to a report published by the Montenegrin Agency for Electronic Communications and Postal Services (EKIP), the mobile telephony penetration rate was at 237.75 percent in this period.

Compared with corresponding period of 2024, the number of users rose by 4.75 percent in December. 

The share of post-paid users was 58.84 percent, while the one of prepaid users was 41.16 percent of their total number.

M:tel had a 41.36 percent share in the total number of mobile phone users, while Crnogorski Telekom and One had the respective market shares of 36.17 percent and 22.47 percent in this segment.
