Podgorica, (MINA-BUSINESS) – The University of Montenegro (UCG) and the company One have successfully concluded the Business Skills Academy, an educational programme conducted during the winter semester that gave students the opportunity to acquire practical knowledge and skills through direct work with industry professionals.
The final event was held at One’s premises, where the results of the programme and participants’ experiences were presented, marking the completion of another successful collaboration between the University and the business sector.
Chairman of the UCG Management Board Milivoje Radovic, said that the University strongly believes in education that does not remain confined to classrooms.
“That is precisely why initiatives like this are so valuable. They give students the opportunity to test the knowledge they have acquired in a real professional environment and to enter the business world with greater confidence,” Radovic said.
Branko Mitrovic, Chief Executive Officer of One, said that the One Academy is their way of giving young people the opportunity to show what they know, while also allowing them to experience what working in a real business environment looks like.
“At the same time, this is our way of bringing the best practices from around the world to Montenegro, where completing one’s studies without similar programmes is unimaginable. However, the benefit does not belong only to the students, but also to us as a company, because their interaction with our people also brings something invaluable,” Mitrovic said.
He thanked students for their enthusiasm and energy, and for yet another confirmation that investing in young people is the best and most sustainable investment.
