Podgorica, (MINA-BUSINESS) – The Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management has launched a call for the construction of the House of Agriculture in Niksic.

The project will be financed through the new World Bank-funded Montenegro Competitive and Resilient Fisheries and Agriculture Sector Development Project (CRFASD), whose implementation began in April this year.

“The new House of Agriculture will be a modern administrative center bringing together, under one roof, the key institutions and services that provide support to agricultural producers,” the Ministry said in a press release.

It will house the regional office of the Agency for Payments in Agriculture, Rural Development and Fisheries serving the municipalities of Niksic, Savnik, and Pluzine, along with the Ministry’s advisory and inspection services, the inspection services of the Food Safety, Veterinary and Phytosanitary Administration, and the local agricultural service of the Municipality of Niksic.

“This will enable farmers to obtain all the necessary information, professional support, and administrative services in one location, further improving the efficiency and accessibility of these services,” the Ministry explained.

The building will have a gross floor area of 878 square meters and provide space for 63 employees.
