Podgorica, (MINA) - The Constitutional Court is effectively implementing this year’s Case Resolution Plan and in January decided on the four remaining constitutional appeals from 2023 and 105 appeals from 2024, said president of this court Snezana Armenko.
She said that the Constitutional Court began February by deciding on constitutional appeals from 2024, while the work on the appeals from 2025 should be initiated by mid-year.
According to Armenko, this is part of the activities aimed at ensuring timely protection of citizens’ constitutional rights.
Armenko said that the Constitutional Court strives to provide timely and effective constitutional protection through intensive work.
“Timely decision-making on constitutional appeals has a direct impact on citizens’ trust in the legal system. That is why the priority is to preserve the quality of decision-making and ensure the consistent application of the European Court of Human Rights’s standards”, said Armenko.
Speaking about the cases that have drawn public attention, she reminded that all significant decisions are published on the Court’s website and called on citizens and decision-makers to consult the rulings and their explanations there.
