Podgorica, (MINA-BUSINESS) – According to the latest projections, aviation revenues of Airports of Montenegro (ACG) amount to nearly €49 million, said Executive Director Roko Tolic, adding that operating profit is around €17 million.
Speaking at the “New Days of Better Tourism” conference held in Budva, Tolic said that this makes 2025 the best year in terms of operating results in the company’s history.
“This year is record-breaking for Airports of Montenegro, both in the number of passengers served and in financial performance,” Tolic said.
He DDED that this year ACG will also allocate its largest-ever amount for the Incentive Scheme, i.e. discounts for airlines operating to Montenegro, totalling more than €13 million. This is one of the key incentives for airlines to open new routes, expand their networks, and increase the number of rotations and passengers.
ACG also recalled that, for the first time since its establishment, the company has served more than three million passengers in a single year.
Ahead of the opening of a Wizz Air base, Airports of Montenegro will announce a recruitment call for 130 employees for operational positions at Podgorica Airport within the next month to month and a half. The vacancies include ground crew, transport workers, and cleaning staff.
During the upcoming summer aviation season, which begins at the end of March and lasts until the end of October, Podgorica Airport will be connected to around 70 destinations, while Tivat Airport will be connected to around 60 destinations.
