Spajic: Berane has entered its most intensive development period in decades

Podgorica, (MINA-BUSINESS) – Prime Minister Milojko Spajić said Berane has entered its most intensive period of development in decades, with infrastructure investment serving as a key driver of economic growth and higher living standards.

In a message marking 21 July, Berane Municipality Day, addressed to the municipality’s residents and leadership, Spajic highlighted the record number of joint projects undertaken by the local and national governments, as well as record investment in infrastructure projects benefiting Berane and the wider northern region.

Spajic recalled that the main road connecting Bijelo Polje and Berane, two of northern Montenegro's key urban centers, has been completely reconstructed, strengthening links between the two towns and serving as a future access route to the motorway.

He also pointed to plans for improved transport connections with Rozaje and Andrijevica, describing them as part of a broader package of long-term investments implemented in partnership with the state and EU funds.

“I am confident that the ambitious and proactive local administration will continue to seize development opportunities and, in cooperation with the Government, complete capital projects that are essential for Berane’s continued progress,” Spajic said.
