Knezevic: DNP Presidency to decide on future of coalition with NSD

Podgorica, (MINA) - Leader of the Democratic People’s Party (DNP) Milan Knezevic said that he will soon convene a session of the party’s Presidency to determine its future course of action regarding their coalition with the New Serbian Democracy (NSD).

Knezevic said this in response to a question about whether he and NSD leader and Parliament Speaker Andrija Mandic had discussed the future of the For the Future of Montenegro (ZBCG) coalition.

“At the Presidency session we will decide that the working team representing the DNP will hold talks with colleagues from the NSD, in order to determine the future of the coalition”, said Knezevic, reports Portal Vijesti.

He added that there were ups and downs in their political fight.

“On August 30, we succeeded in defeating the regime of Milo Djukanovic, but it seems to me that Djukanovic did not leave after August 30, but that several new Milo Djukanovics appeared”, Knezevic said, adding that he no longer recognizes people who were part of the broader coalition.

He clarified that he was referring to the Government of Zdravko Krivokapic and members of the Europe Now Movement.

“Whatever decision the DNP and NSD party bodies make, I believe that in the future we can achieve project-based cooperation, and you will agree that it is somewhat illogical for one part of the coalition to be in power and the other part in the opposition”, said Knezevic.
