He said that he hoped this fire season would not be like the last year’s one.

“But no matter what happens, we are ready, first of all because we have you, we trust in your courage, good organization, dedication to protect the lives of all citizens of Podgorica”, said Mujovic.

Commenting on the statement by the newly elected Capital City Assembly chair Srdjan Peric that he has not yet received the statutes of the city’s public companies, Mujovic said that they have been prepared, and that they would be submitted to the Assembly if Peric considered it necessary.

Mujovic said that city public companies are functioning normally.

Responding to the question about red mud pool remediation, Mujovic said that the Government was taking the necessary steps, although it might not be visible, and that the issue of expropriation should be resolved first.

“But we must be aware that firefighters must be safe during interventions, that is, we must provide them with the necessary equipment so that they respond more safely and efficiently,” added Bojanovic.

Speaking about the uniforms, Bojanovic said that they are manufactured by a renowned company, and that the procurement cost around EUR 134,000.
