Podgorica, (MINA-BUSINESS) – The Centre for Economic and European Studies (CEES) will organize a workshop in Kolasin tomorrow on improving the business environment in northern Montenegro through the reform of parafiscal charges.

The workshop, titled “Economic Development of Northern Municipalities: Achieving Greater Development Through the Reform of Levies,” will begin at 10 a.m. at Hotel Wulfenia.

The event is part of the project of the same name, implemented by CEES in cooperation with the Ministry of Regional Investment Development and Cooperation with Non-Governmental Organizations under the Step Towards Local Economic Development programme. 

“The event will bring together representatives of local administrations, the business community, and public institutions with the aim of fostering dialogue on improving the business environment in the municipalities of northern Montenegro,” CEES said in a press release.

Particular attention will be devoted to reforming parafiscal charges, a range of fees and levies that pose a significant financial burden for entrepreneurs and small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).
