Podgorica, (MINA-BUSINESS) – The Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management is continuously working to improve conditions for the development of agriculture through support for domestic production, strengthening the rural economy, and encouraging initiatives that link local development with European values, said Minister Vladimir Jokovic.

Speaking at the Local Products Fair in Niksic, which brought together many domestic producers, representatives of different institutions, and citizens, Jokovic said that agricultural producers are key partners of the state and the best ambassadors of Montenegrin agriculture.

“Through their work, quality, and dedication, our producers confirm that Montenegro has the potential to be recognized as a country of high-quality and authentic agricultural products. The Ministry will continue to provide strong support to projects and events that contribute to the development of agriculture and rural areas,” Jokovic said.

The event was also attended by the Minister of European Affairs Maida Gorcevic, as well as Mayor of Niksic Marko Kovacevic.

According to the Ministry, the Local Products Fair once again confirmed that Niksic offers a strong example of the affirmation of European values at the local level, and that agriculture has significant potential for sustainable development, job creation, and the preservation of rural areas.
