According to him, this is the essence of public finance management reform and a clear message from the Government.
Vukovic opened a meeting of the Working Group for Monitoring the Implementation of the Public Finance Management Reform Programme (PFM) for the period from 2022 to this year, saying that orderly, transparent, and responsibly managed public finances are the foundation of a stable economy, a better quality of life for citizens, and stronger trust in institutions.
He noted that public finance management directly affects everyday lives of citizens, from the quality of public services to the security and long-term sustainability of the state budget.
Speaking about the broader significance of the reforms, Vuković said that progress in the field of public finances plays a key role in the European integration process and in the overall credibility of the country.
