Podgorica, (MINA-BUSINESS) – According to the Ministry of Tourism, representatives of the Berlin-based networking association Freitagsrunde, which brings together figures from politics, business, diplomacy, science, and culture, expressed particular interest in Montenegro, with a focus on the development prospects of its tourism sector and opportunities for cooperation with Germany.

They met with representatives of the Ministry of Tourism, led by Minister Simonida Kordic.

“The meeting focused on plans for further development of the northern region, investment opportunities in winter tourist resorts, digitalization processes in the tourist industry, as well as challenges related to short-term accommodation rentals,” the Ministry stated in a press release. 

Kordic presented Montenegro’s strategic goals in this sector, highlighting sustainability, digital innovation, and the reduction of administrative barriers, which were key areas of interest for the Freitagsrunde representatives.

It was concluded that the meeting was an important step in further strengthening relations between Montenegro and Germany in the tourism sector and in creating new opportunities for the exchange of experience and partnerships.
